Even to the end, His disciples didn’t totally “get” what was going on. When this woman anointed Jesus with expensive perfume, they were indignant at this “beautiful thing” (Matt 26:10) because they didn’t understand. Spend some time thinking about how intimate and meaningful this moment must have been for Jesus, knowing what was soon to come.
